Happy National S’mores day everyone! (You knew that right?!) ;) If you’re in the US, you probably did. Anywhere else and you will just have to accept this as a reason for me to bring you lots of lovely S’mores pictures, recipes and equipment…
This is a really lovely DIY tutorial by Lauren from Lauren Elise Crafted on Valley And Co for S’mores kits which could be used as party favours, or maybe even a birthday gift.
A UK-friendly S’mores recipe on Babble, replacing Graham crackers with digestive biscuits.
This delish looking cookie is from Cookie Crowd on Etsy, and was photographed by Oh Joy blog.
So you want to make S’mores, but you’re lacking a campfire? No problem!

Recently I have been mostly craving absolutely anything sweet, which is unusual for me as I am a savoury soul by nature. It has however inspired me to bring you some sweet treats that you can make with and for the children and not only because they’re delish, but because they’re no bake, (mostly) no danger, no delay! (Some do require heat in saucepan form, but No-Heat Treats Except A Bit in the Saucepan, just doesn’t have the same ring to it).
Disclaimer: Belle Bébés bears no responsibility for any addictions sustained during or immediately following the consumption of the following treats. :)
I will begin with these Chewy Cookies and Cream bars from Picky Palate made from only 3 ingredients, Oreos, marshmallows and butter. So, so simple and with a waiting (cooling) time of only 10 minutes, I think even the most impatient of kids (that would be me) could manage to wait for these!

Next on the menu are Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Oatmeal Cookies from Brown Eyed Baker. These do require heat from the hob, so depending on the age of your children, you may need to make these for them and not with them, but they will love them all the same!

This recipe is the ‘healthy option’ as it has a raspberry on it and lemon juice in it (does that count as 2 of your 5 a day?!) :) It’s Cheesecake Mini-Desserts from Recipe Tips and don’t they just look yum! Dead easy to make too.

And finally, S’More Nutella Crunch Bars from The Family Kitchen on Babble - rocky road-esque crunch bars with Nutella – mmmmm…. Substitute the Graham crackers with digestive biscuits if you’re in the UK and you have yourself a delightful treat. The only downside is that they need an hour to freeze (but I think you could eat them still a little soft, no…?!)

Apologies if your swimsuit diet is now out of the window (but isn’t it worth it!)
