Tyler’s Nursery

Tyler’s gorgeous nursery was created by his parents, completed on a very reasonable budget and was finished the night before Tyler was born! But how fantastic is it? I just love those ceiling pieces, and apparently, Tyler does too :)

Head over to HGTV for more images of this nursery, and many others.

Snow Day = Snow Play!

When it snows it can be all too easy to moan about how cold and wet it is, about how you have to shovel the car out of the drive and how the traffic jams make you late for work… but remember when you were younger? When snowing meant a day off school and lengthy snowball fights followed by a cup of cocoa: such an amazing feeling!

I know full well I’m in for snow whilst I’m living in Canada. Everybody has told me so. And I think rather than hibernate and moan I need to try my best to embrace it, get out there and take pictures, maybe even throw a few snowballs myself…

If you have children you’ll need to embrace it too because most kids won’t want to hibernate when it starts snowing… they’ll want to be out there having fun! But just to give you some ideas of how to have fun sans sun I found this book, Snow Play, in the local bookstore and think it’s fantastic…

Fun without sun

Containing 25 projects/games such as an ice slide, snow frosted cake, loch ness monster and amazing ghosts with glowing eyes this book features detailed instructions, plenty of photos and even discusses snow safety…

I definitely have my eye on creating some Glow Cones for our front porch… they’re so beautiful. This book would make a fantastic gift for Christmas too and you’ve just got enough time to order it! Now all you have to do is hope it snows. A lot :)

Snow Baby Dream

Have you ever tried to push a pram uphill in the snow? Or even on the flat? It’s hard, let me tell you. I live on a hill, and my leg muscles double around this time of year! The Snow Baby Dream from KHW is a baby sledge that allows your baby to glide over the snow, rather than plough through it! All in the upmost levels of comfort too! It’s on my Christmas list :)

Admittedly, it does rather resemble a lawn mower, but, if it moves like one, then who’s to argue! Find your local stockist here.
