DIY recipe : Pancake pops

You’ve seen lollipops.

I imagine by now you’ve also come across cake pops.

But what about pancake pops?!

Everything appears to be more fun when served up on a stick, and this breakfast treat is no exception.

They’re simple enough to make too. Just make regular pancake batter (the American fluffy pancake style of batter that is), pour a little on a heated, flat griddle pan and pop in your lollipop stick, smoothing the batter over the top. Then just flip to cook the other side and, when lightly browned on both sides, serve up drizzled in maple syrup!

Cheerios : not just a bowl of cereal

Sure, you can let the kids eat their Cheerios the regular way in a bowl, (or a cup with a face on it?!)…

Or you can do something a little different, and a lot more fun with them!

Such as stick them to frozen, yoghurt-covered bananas, in an idea I’m totally trying myself…

… or even use them in this savoury dish of chicken nuggets. Nuggets that I imagine are a little better for them than those served under the golden arches…

Kids’ breakfast idea : Mugs on mugs

When I saw these cups from Fiftyeight Products I didn’t think about myself drinking tea from them, I instead thought about how they’d make awesome cereal bowls for kids at breakfast time!

Sure, bowls don’t usually feature handles, but does that really matter when they have funny faces on them?! Maybe a handle would even help with eating cereal actually. Certainly a great feature for drinking the cereal flavoured milk afterwards :D
