Messy little eaters competition

The good people of Thorntons, who sell a huge range of chocolates for all occasions, offered us a little giveaway for Belle Bébés. The prize is lots of chocolate, and if you’re anything like us that’s a prize you’ll want to win!

So we’re holding a competition, but rather than the usual ‘like our Facebook page’* or ‘comment on this post’ type entries we thought we’d do something a little more fun…

To be in with a chance of winning, just send us a high resolution photo of a little one at meal time. Perhaps something like these of my brother, me and my cousin!

Photos of the mess kids make when eating can be insanely cute and we’d love to share some after the competition has ended!

You can either email the photos to [email protected] or if you have instagram just add the hashtag #bellebebes

And the prize?

All this chocolate…

Cupcakes, Gruffalo & Chocolate Lovers’ Hamper

Plus this chocolate box with your winning photo on the front!

Personalised Photo Box

Yay!

Have fun and good luck!

Apfel Lollies

Those that know a little, or a lot, of German will know that apfel is actually just apple. Although these apple lollies are very similar to the chocolate apples that usually get stocked in supermarkets before Bonfire Night, there’s one difference… they’re sliced before dipped!

This idea, found over at Rosa Rot, makes perfect sense for mini mouths although it’s never crossed my mind before! Good job we have the internet, full of endless ideas that never enter our heads!

These are great for a guilt-free treat to tempt your child. Or even for yourself if you’re eating healthily but just can’t stay away from the chocolate* ;)

* Frozen, chocolate-covered bananas with crystallized ginger are bloomin’ good too. They’re my summer snack of choice when I’m trying to balance out my chocolate habit with fruit!

Little Trekkers

We just got back from our first camping trip with Beatrice, and it was wonderful! It reminded me how much children just need to be outside. They absolutely thrive on it. In the rain or wind or mud, it doesn’t matter. Wellies and waterproofs are all they need to entertain themselves for hours! Ask them if they like nature and they’ll probably tell you it’s boring, but stick them in the thick of it and just watch them bloom!

Little Trekkers

Little Trekkers know all about this. Not only do they sell pretty much everything you could possibly need for outdoor activities – from clothing to cycling accessories, and sun shelters to sand pits – but they also have loads of ideas for outdoor activities with the kids, brilliant DIY tutorials to keep them busy, great recipes to share and lots, lots more!

So the next time you hear the kids say ‘we’re bored!’, or your picnic plans are scuppered by the weather, head over to Little Trekkers for some great outdoor ideas that don’t rely on sunshine :)
