Personalised wood poster for welcoming baby

Every once in a while I get a really strong desire to own a laser cutter. It goes away for a little while but then I see something like these incredible wood cuts from PaperTuli and the obsession begins all over again.

This time I’ve even started a Pinterest board on it and found a local laser-cutting course that I may well just enroll on come November. I think you’ll understand my love of it when you see these…

Absolutely beautiful! The perfect gift for a new baby… in my laser-cutter-loving opinion anyway :)

Joey Chou : 70s-style prints for the nursery

I love illustrator
Joey Chou’s work! The simple shapes he employs, the colour palette he paints with, and a style that’s reminiscent of children’s illustration from the 70s… it all adds up to equal awesome art that I know would look lovely on those nursery walls…

The Wizard of Oz

He also created 3 exclusive prints for the release of the movie “Oz: The Great and Powerful”. The last one’s my favourite :)

To get your hands on one of Joey’s prints head to his shop, you can even buy originals too! Just going to ‘favourite’ that link for the future… :)

Colourful wood characters by Herman Marie

I have fallen head over heels in love with everything in Kim Laurenti’s Etsy shop Herman Marie!

Her products are certainly a simple concept: wooden shapes, painted in bright colours.

But the illustration style is awesome!

These would liven up any child’s bedroom for sure…

And Kim has a second shop too where she keeps her slightly creepier characters employing a more muted colour palette. I don’t think the stuff in I Love Grey Skies would be as suitable for children, but you adults might like it :)
