Mother Hen Mother’s Day Party!

This Mother’s Day party from Very Rosenberry is infused with natural, rustic elements, red and yellow polka dots and chickens! There are so many great details, it’s hard to take them all in!

I love this party! The Mother hen idea is perfect for a Mother’s Day party, but some of these details could easily translate into birthday parties. I especially love the hay bales and the chicken wire and those butterscotch nests! Head to Very Rosenberry for more photos and the full details of this lovely party!

Egg ideas

With Ash Wednesday only two days ago, we’re now on the official countdown to Easter. The shops are already stocked with tasty chocolate eggs, eggs that I imagine you’d have no problem getting your children to eat. But what about the other types of eggs? The (in my opinion) slightly less delicious, but much healthier, chicken eggs can be part of a healthy balanced diet for our little ones. So, with that in mind, here are 5 ideas of how to make them a little more appealing…

Bell pepper flowers

Not only has this dish got eggs, but it includes peppers and greenery too… winner!

Chicken and the egg

These lil’ chickens in their eggs are probably too adorable to eat if I’m honest.

I ♥ eggs

This fantastic idea for egg in toast would work with all sorts of shapes. Just use your kid’s favourite cookie cutter. You could even use the first letter of their name. Personalised egg!

Coloured eggs

Again, this one can use your kid’s favourite colours!

Egg-lephant? :/

And my favourite is this awesome egg circus! Although if you try out something like this, you can’t tell children not to play with their food again ;)

And for dessert…

… how about this imitation egg, which is also a healthy combination of yoghurt and peach. Perfect!

Egg hunting

Only six days left until Easter and so I have been on an Easter egg hunt of a less yummy kind. This one included Google, and writing this post to share my finds with you, rather than getting to eat chocolate eggs. Here’s what I found that would surely make the little ones smile this Easter…
