Real rooms : Dr. Seuss nursery

Inspiration came from a “congratulations” gift when photographer Shefali Lindsey was planning the nursery for her baby boy Noah.

The gift was the book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss.

Whilst sourcing ideas for the room Shefali kept returning to that front cover. One day it dawned on her… create a Dr. Seuss-inspired nursery!

Luckily her husband loved the idea and this beautiful, super-colourful room came about…

The colourful prints came from 7 Wonders Design and the bright bunting from Belle & Teo Boutique.

I especially love the contemporary paper circle mobile hanging above the cot. It’s by Bottz Studios and they come in so many colours, with the option to create a custom mobile and pick colours that suit your theme…

Nursery inspiration: triangles, chevrons & spots

It’s nursery inspiration day today and Sienna’s nursery is easily one of my favourite nurseries of all time! Her parents, Jen & Jason, are the amazing team behind Green Wedding Shoes therefore it’s no surprise the nursery is incredible as those two definitely have great taste!

There are so many details to love about this room… the awesome (and super modern) triangular wall decals, the chevron rug, amazing art prints and the tassels above the changing table. I recognise several different crafters and companies in this one room and it’s amazing to see them all put together in such a wonderful way…

Nursery inspiration : pastels & wood

Sometimes just one picture is all it takes to give you a whole load of inspiration for decorating a space.

Such as this awesome image styled by Linda Ahman and photographed by Therese Winberg

There are so many awesome ideas for a child’s bedroom, or a little one’s nursery in this image! I love the harlequin wallpaper, the pastel shades, the mulit-coloured set of drawers, the pale wooden toys that complement the pastels, the honeycomb balls and the assortment of jars that you could fill with small toys and colouring crayons.

Just one of these ideas would look lovely in a child’s room but I do love them all together too!

And for good measure, here’s a close-up of that cute wooden elephant sat atop the storage boxes…
