The T family : Greenwich, London

Greenwich-based photographer Andrea Whelan sent us today’s lovely shoot of the T family.

She decided, rather than capture them in their home, that their wonderful hometown of Greenwich would be an ideal setting for a shoot. Andrea told me she wanted “to show people how we can use the local area as a GREAT backdrop to their family portraits”.

She definitely succeeded!

Nina Mace - Sleepy family photography

These gorgeous, natural light images I have for you today were submitted by Nina Mace photography. I absolutely love images like this! I think it’s the pyjamas!

The family wanted shots of their daughter waking up from her nap and playing and it was one of the most fun sessions I’ve photographed. I love it when parents just want to photograph the everyday as it makes for the most natural photos.

To see lots more lovely family photography, head over to Nina’s website. Thank you very much to Nina for sharing these beautiful pictures with us today!

Studio Two Hundred : Easter sessions

I’ve always been a fan of natural light shots over studio shots. Those where the photographer takes your little ones to a park, or pictures them in your home to get the most relaxed shots possible. But that’s due to the majority of the studio shoots I’ve seen; often the photography style is dated and the photos can look forced.

It was, therefore, massively refreshing to see the Easter studio sessions captured by Theresa Furey. Theresa is doing something a little different with Studio Two Hundred and it looks amazing! No plain white walls here, but instead a striking turquoise, and beautiful Easter-inspired props that bring out the playful, inquisitive nature in kids…

Awesome images by Theresa Furey at Studio Two Hundred

The combination of the bright backdrop and sweet props along with the ability to control the lighting, as only you can in a studio, makes for fantastic photos.

More studios like this please! :D
