Hand-embroidered toys & cushions by Fox in the Attic

Fox in the Attic is the creative work of Michelle, who was raised in South Africa and inspired by her mother who had her own handmade craft business. Now living in London, all of Michelle’s creations are lovingly sewn and hand embroidered, and would make perfect accessories for a child’s room…

And, for us adults, there’s this awesome tote bag which means never needing a shopping list again as all the essentials are handily printed on the front! ;)

DIY colourful decorations

This genius idea for non-messy, DIY, colourful decorations from Meet The Dubiens is intended for a Christmas tree, but I think it would be a wonderful way to brighten up a party room! Multi-coloured or colour-themed, these would look fantastic hanging over the party food table, or perhaps even from trees in the garden. Imagine them with sunlight shining through - dreamy!

Check out the full DIY tutorial over at Meet The Dubiens.

Today is Log Cabin Day! A day that encourages us to step away from modern technology and embrace a simpler existence.

In honour of this day, I’m sharing this log cabin-like, treehouse bed from The Slow Life because it’s simply awesome!

If you’re looking to embrace Log Cabin day yourself and step away from modern technology, playing games with your family is an excellent idea! And it just so happens that I have this post about fantastic family games for you :)
