Rainbow ribbons - party design

These images were actually taken from a wedding inspiration shoot found at Green Wedding Shoes but it would make a wonderful setting for a children’s party design, don’t you agree?! How cute would a party table be totally enclosed by rainbow ribbons?! Just lovely!

Can you imagine building a den under there too?! How cool would that be! And you could easily recreate this in your back garden, or even indoors if the weather lets you down, however unlikely that may be… ;)

Simple scrapbooking with Project Life

Digital photography is, without a doubt, awesome. However it does have one major downside as far as I’m concerned: we don’t print our pictures anymore! Lately, picture taking for me has been about creating Facebook albums; I never think to print those pictures out and fill a real-life album with them. And that’s such a shame because they look much better in print.

A few years back I had a go at scrapbooking and although I loved having those photos printed out in front of me it was just too time consuming…

Enter Project Life!

The brain child of Becky Higgins, Project Life is a back-to-basics approach to scrapbooking. The whole process has been simplified to ensure even the busiest of parents will have time to record those memories in a precious album.

Rather than an empty album and no idea where to start or what to stick in, Project Life makes things super simple with the following…

Handy pocket pages divided into different layouts mean you can easily slip photos in, and decorative cards allow you to fill any spaces or add text. There are loads of other elements you could stick in too, but only if you have time. The key is to keep it simple so you don’t get overwhelmed by completing pages and instead opt to not do it at all! This blog post is great to read a little more on Project Life in its most basic form.

Pages of memories

And here are some awesome examples of Project Life pages…

So lovely! For more info get yourself over to the website and have a browse around.

I’m definitely going to have to give it a go myself because in a few years time I’d like to reminisce with a cuppa and a beautiful album full of memories, not by staring at a computer screen!
