Awesome toys for Log Cabin Day!

Happy Log Cabin Day! A little random perhaps, but I can totally get behind what today is all about: appreciating cabins, and more so the lifestyle that accompanies them. A life without the internet or television to distract you from peaceful play :)

And, with play in mind, here are a few ways to get the kids’ imaginations working…

Awesome stuff:

  1. LEGO Creator Log Cabin,
  2. Camp Fire Kids Log Cabin Tent,
  3. Log Cabin Playhouse,
  4. Tom Timber Playhouse,
  5.
Funny Farm Toy Barn,
  6. Playmobil Forest Lodge
  7. Sylvanian Families Log Cabin,

I must admit, I really want number 7 for myself!

If you love cabins as much as me, feel free to check out my other blog, Live Small, Dream Big, as I occasionally post awesome ones over there :)

DIY doily lamp

A great idea to add some original vintage flair to a nursery is a DIY doily lamp, like this one from Second Shout Out.

They look so pretty and you can of course make them exactly how you like. Use lots of different styles of doilies, or some that are all the same, large ones, small ones, even coloured ones if you like! And if you already have the doilies but would like some help with the rest of the kit, Oktacive on Etsy have everything you need!

But if you’d rather let someone else do the work for you, how about these beautiful star lanterns from Pipii? Just lovely!

munster kids

munster kids is a collection of kids apparel that is driven by music, art and street culture. Inspired by urban legend Mikey Munster, the devious side of every kid, munster garments balance a mix of kid themes and adult styling with durability and comfort leaving them satisfied and you feeling a little jealous.

A couple of years ago, I introduced you to munster kids and today I wanted to share with you their new collection, because quite frankly, I love it!

Munster also run a project called T4T where an artist is commissioned to do a series of prints for a set of t-shirts. This season’s artist is Matthew Langille. For every one of the styles sold, another is donated to an orphanage in Vietnam or Cambodia and so far, over 1500 t-shirts have been donated! What a cool idea, and such a lovely project!

Find your closest munster stockist here.
