Christmas morning

I don’t have children but when I do I imagine there will be few things better than watching their excited faces opening presents on Christmas morning…

A big thank you to Zoe for sharing her Christmas pictures!

Me and Verity have decided to take a little blog break to spend time with our families so I’d just like to take this opportunity to wish everybody a truly wonderful Christmas. I hope you get to spend time with your loved ones, eat copious amounts of chocolate and watch tons of trashy telly! See you in the new year :)

Raymond Briggs

So, it wouldn’t be Christmas in my head without a reading of The Snowman and a (probably terrible) rendition of ‘I’m walking in the air’. Raymond Briggs draws Christmas in my book. With ‘The Snowman’ and ‘Father Christmas’ under his belt, he’s got Christmas literature sewn up!

What’s your favourite Christmas book?!

Festive Food

With the kids off school and still a few days until Christmas you may well be wanting some projects to keep them entertained. Christmas-related sweet treats are the way to go in my personal opinion, mainly because I’d enjoy eating them later! There are countless ideas on the internet but I’ve rounded up a few to give you an idea. I’m sure the kids would love making these (with your help - especially with the popcorn garland) and I’m sure they’ll love eating them too. As will you ;)

  1. Reindeer cupcakes
  2. Ice-cream cone trees
  3. Popcorn garland
  4. Gingerbread house
  5. Snowman Cupcakes

There are lots of savoury ideas out there too but I got sidetracked by the cake… sorry! :)
