Casey of My Life as a Sugar Lander and Etsy shop Paper and Twine, created this gorgeous, sewing based baby shower, for her very lucky, mildly-sewing-obsessed sister Morgan! The details are so sweet and the overall look of the party is colourful, fresh and inviting.
With fabric streamers hanging from the balloons, mini Singers and old fabric spools decorating the tables, fabric flags in the cupcakes and handmade flag bunting, a fabric corsage for Morgan and some fabric birds that were later used to decorate the nursery, the shower has a delightful vintage-y feel. Head over to Casey’s blog for more awesome images of this party and lots, lots more!

This gender reveal party is from photographers Mélanie and Justin Driedger. The reveal wasn’t just for the friends and family of the pregnant couple, the couple themselves didn’t yet know the sex of their baby! They got their midwife to put the gender in a sealed envelope. This was then passed to cake maker, Diana Tavares of Have Your Cake and Eat it too who was tasked with making the cake and filling it with the relevant coloured icing, without letting anyone know what that was!! All of the guests were asked to arrive wearing the colour representative of their guess at the sex, and then the cake was cut to reveal the truth! How exciting!
It’s a boy! (And they both got it right!) :D

We have shown you the beautiful work of The Indigo Bunting before, in Debs’ When I Was Born post. Today I have some lovely party favours for you, that Erin made for her nephew Jacob’s 5th, Thunder-and-Lightening-and-Thor-in-an-airplane party!
The ace favour bags were printed with an image of the birthday boy as Thor, designed and made for the party by Erin. These contained fruit bars wrapped in homemade themed labels, rock candy swizzle sticks and purple chocolate balls, spinning tops and best of all, homemade tattoos! What a brilliant favour idea! I didn’t know you could buy tattoo paper to print yourself. Thank you The Indigo Bunting!
Head to Erin’s sister’s blog, Mount Custard for more pictures of this awesome party!
