For mum

When I have children I will enjoy reading with them, watching Disney movies with them, playing games with them and baking with them (and I won’t even complain when they don’t clean up the kitchen afterwards).

I’ll create amazing birthday cakes for them and count the years in kisses on their birthday cards.

I’ll buy countless hair bobbles for my daughter so I can make her hair look pretty and they will be the most important thing in my handbag.

I’ll stand at the window EVERY SINGLE TIME they leave, to wave them goodbye, even if they’ll be back in five minutes.

I’ll keep locks of their baby hair, all the art work they ever created for me, and take a photo of them in front of the Christmas tree every Christmas Eve because memories are important.

I’ll laugh with them and comfort them when they cry.

I’ll be strong for them even if my own world falls apart.

I’ll be an amazing mother because you showed me how.

I love you,

Debs xxx

You’re my rock, my best friend, my favourite chef (don’t tell Dad). I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you still do for us. You’ve been there through thick and thin, helped me out when I needed it the most, even been by my side and kept me together through both of my labours. The girls are so lucky to have you as a Grandma and I am so lucky to call you my Mum.

I love you, Verity xx

PS I hope Gok realises that he’s the one meeting a star tomorrow! :)
