Take time. Enjoy the moment.

It can be a weird thing writing a blog. It takes time to research what to feature, write a post, edit all the images, credit the appropriate people… and then you hit ‘publish’ and just hope people are reading it. Although the stats say otherwise, when we get no comments on a post it’s often hard to believe people actually stop by! And on those days it can be a little disheartening.

But there are other days… days when a comment makes us smile, days when someone retweets a post, days like when Zoe told us that a post inspired her to to build a den with her daughter. To read books, to play with dolls and to do a special amount of nothing much.

Those days make writing a blog worthwhile :)

This totally capsulates EVERYTHING I love about the whole sociability of the internet. A photographer friend had posted your link about the den building, and I LOVED it – actually spent a good wee while afterwards enjoying lots of other things you had posted.

It also reminded me in this crazy busy life that we all lead, its good to take a moment, and do nothing much at all – other than just enjoy being in each others company – and this was the moment that my daughter and I did just that – with two older school aged children – I have this niggly awareness that these early years of complete wonderment and innocence are gone in the blink of an eye…..

So, I want to say a huge big lovely thank you for reminding me to take time to enjoy the everyday ordinariness! xx
