A birth story

This is a rather long post. With so many photos. But they told such a wonderful story it was hard to cut them down! I actually cried when putting this post together because these photos document one of the most special experiences in life: the birth of a baby. We photograph so many other special moments such as parties, holidays and weddings it seems only right that we should photograph a birth. I’ve heard that in the UK we’re not allowed professional cameras in hospitals though? Does anybody know if this is true? Because it seems such a shame if so.

I would love professional images, such as these Jessica Kettle has taken, of my little person entering the world and meeting their new family. These pictures are precious…

Beautiful! Moving, exciting, scary, honest and can I say beautiful again. So lovely, even the midwife is giggling with joy – you really feel like you’re in the room with them. Wonderful work.
